Hi All,
I would just like to introduce myself as the Honorary Secretary of RCRC. I think the majority of you are very well aware of who I am, as I have now been an active member of the club for over ten years! For those of you who don't know me, I would be surprised if you hadn't heard me!
If anybody has any communications for the committee or any queries that you are unsure which channel to send through, then please do not hesistate to contact me at ll.whiteley@gmail.com or speak to me at the club.
I hope that everybody has a very successful season with their respective squads, and that you embrace the cold weather!
Best wishes,
Laura Whiteley
RCRC Honorary Secretary

The 2011 Scullers Head saw 300 scullers race from Eccleston to the Groves...TWICE...with only minor incidence, and no complaints...yet anyway.
What’s more our quads came 1st (Elite) and 2nd (IM3) in Div 2, IM3 2x lost by 0.4 sec (good job we have accurate time keeping), and Alex Bain won J16 1x. And we lost the Victor Ludorum to Runcorn by just 11 seconds.
It takes a lot of people to make it happen and run smoothly, it must be one of the biggest club team build efforts we hold – every 6 months and to put it into perspective Open Events have just provided £3200 for new blades for the Senior women.
Thanks to all those involved, particularly this time to Tracey and Team McGarva both on and off the water.
Relax now and prepare for Saturday 10th March 2012 – North of England Head

Another brilliant Golf
Day for members and guests took place in the Autumn
sunshine at Eaton Golf Club
on September 20th. CLICK HERE for photos
Nine teams of 4 golfers took part in an exciting
competition which was won by the aptly named Temples Bandits, outscoring all
the other teams by a substantial margin. They thus took possession of the
winners’ trophies and the main prizes on offer, whilst other prizes went to the
second placed team and the winners of the longest drive, nearest the pin and
the mystery 1838 competition.
There was no Royals
member in the winning team, and whilst a number of members participated in the
tournament the shot making was sadly not up to the same technical levels as
their stroke taking!
The competition was
followed in the evening by a prize giving ceremony and a sumptuous dinner laid
on by Eaton and enjoyed in total by 72 diners. The generosity of our sponsors
furnished a magnificent array of raffle prizes valued in total at £800, with
around 20 happy diners going home with a valuable prize.
As well as providing a great days
entertainment for golfers and guests the day raised over £1200 for Royals
coffers.
Thanks go to John Hinnigan for all his efforts.
